Hello. I originally made what would ultimately be called Interlocut to try to offer a space lowering the temperature around discussing complex political histories. Having cordial dialogue with people from different cultures has been something I’ve found incredibly rewarding.

I value open societies, cultural exchange, and social freedom. I don’t glorify power, but I do believe in moral clarity and recognizing the intent behind political actions, as I see recognizing intent to be essential to learning from a historical figure’s failures as much as their successes.

I want people from different worlds to be able to understand each other beyond mere news stories. To get there, I honestly think we have to talk some politics, for politics is ultimately about people: stories, pain, and hopes.
